Weekly Blog 23/3/2018

Should I start using the date as the title for the weekly blog? IDK I’ll give it a try I guess.

I’ve managed to keep to my goal this week and have checked in once again at the office for my Friday session. Although I won’t be able to make it next week due to it being Easter, I will be coming in again on Monday to make up for it :3. I wrote a blog/article this week about life drawing, which you can find here –

Next week, I think i would like to talk about handling depression and anxiety as an artist. It’s something that I’ve wanted to talk about for a while, but never had the courage to. Seeing the recdent article on this same subject in Imagine FX magazine, and thinking about my yearly support of my friends Piece of Mind Mental Health Awareness campaign might actually spur me into doing it, although I’m not promising I won’t comfort myself with writing about a fluffier topic instead.

This week in work! I had a private commission this week so I haven’t been able to do much on my personal work. I did upload a youtube video though, so keep an eye out for that 😉

Princess Zelda Portrait Timelapse (part 1)

My plans for next week are to pick up where I left off before my commission, get the portrait and the church scene (see featured image) finished, make that video about how I use layers. I would also like to do some work exploring the pipeline process and place of concept art in that process. I’ll be continuing to update and improve the website as I go!

So – that’s all for this week. Hopefully, I’ll have more to show next week, and then I’ll get a nice Easter weekend off!

This blog and my finished artworks are all available to see for free, as well my youtube videos. However, I still have bills to pay and would really appreciate any help and support. Please consider supporting me by signing up for exclusive content via Patreon.com

Alternatively, if you would just like to donate out of kindness, you can do so via my KOFI account or Paypal.
